Nayeli – Office Manager
My name is Nayeli and I am the Office Manager for Family First Dental. I joined the team in 2017 and graduated from Concorde Career College in 2012. I have completed certifications in CPR and the administration of nitrous oxide. I also have certifications in coronal polishing, placing and condensing amalgam, placing and finishing composite, dental sealant placement, and X-rays. I love working with my team, they are like family. I also enjoy the chance to see my patients leave with smiles on their faces and a new level of confidence. When not in the office, I enjoy traveling and shopping.
Kourtnee – Front Desk/Dental Assistant
My name is Kourtnee and I am a dental assistant and work the front desk for Family First Dental. I joined the team in 2016 after graduating from Concorde Career College. I have also completed my certification in administering CPR. I love my job, as every day brings something new, there’s simply never a dull moment! Our patients are super nice and I appreciate that they put their trust in me. When not in the office, I often volunteer with House of Hope and provide dental assisting to the military.

Veronica – Dental Assistant
Veronica joined our practice in 2021. She loves working as part of a team and being treated like she is part of a family. She deeply appreciates the patience she was given when she first started — especially Dr. Cook when she assisted him for the first time. She also enjoys learning new things on the job that help benefit the office. She loves talking to patients and learning about their lives — past, present, and future.
When she’s not at work, Veronica loves doing makeup and lashes and really anything related to cosmetics and skincare.
Barbie – Registered Dental Hygienist
My name is Barbie and I joined the Family First Dental team in 2023. I’m licensed as a dental hygienist in both Kansas and Missouri and graduated from Johnson County Community College in 2011 with a degree in Liberal Arts followed by associates of science in dental hygiene in 2014. I have earned special certifications in laser dentistry, Invisalign®, myofunctional therapy, and the administration of local anesthetic. I am also a notary public!
I’m a member of Dental Hygiene Nation, Culture Index, and Strength Finder, and have volunteered with Team Smiles and KMOM. I am a clean freak, so I love the aseptic environment and the satisfaction of cleaning smiles to perfection! I love hearing my patients’ stories and seeing their reactions to their smile transformation.
When not in the office, I enjoy cooking, cocktail and wine tasting, crafts, painting, and live music.
